Our Story

Majestic R&R, LLC is owned and operated by the dynamic duo of Ruqaiyah and Richard Dotson. Our soap journey began with me searching to find a more natural soap that would not leave my skin feeling dry and irritated the way commercial soaps did. We purchased several expensive soaps from stores, fests and farmer’s markets but I experienced little to no change. I was browsing social media and saw an ad for a handmade, all-natural soap that promised to clean without leaving the skin feeling dry. The company’s products had raving reviews but the price of the soap, at $14.00 per bar, was more than I wanted to spend. Several weeks went by before I convinced myself that my skin was worth the money and I deserved it. However, when I went to purchase the soap, the company was sold out and advertising that their next products launch date wasn’t for a whole month. After a couple months of failed attempts at trying to buy soap from that and other similar companies that social media had began inundating me with, I realized that there was a need for more “good” soap companies on the market. After weeks of research, I took the idea of creating our own soap to Rich and he immediately jumped on board.

After months and countless hours of intense research, we were ready to make soap. However, we decided that we weren’t going to make regular soap, we were going to make luxurious soap full of butters and high-quality oils that will provide a gentler, more enjoyable cleaning experience without stripping your skin of its natural moisture. We wanted to create soap that made people feel like they were receiving royal treatment when they bathed because everyone deserves a daily reminder of their majesty and magnificence.

As we began making soap, we discovered that we truly love it and the creative medium for expression that it provides. We enjoy combining colors, scents and additives that result in one-of-a-kind luxury bars of soap art. We take pride in the soap that we create and we know that everyone who uses it will notice the difference between our soap and the bar soap you regularly use.
